Parliament of Things at Europe by People

Parliament of Things premiered on Friday 3 June 2016 during the on-stage program of Europe by People
The French philosopher Bruno Latour argues that we should focus less on the human perspective if we are to meet the challenges of our time. According to Latour, we must give the values (not value) of things a place in our political debate.
Inspired by Bruno Latour’s theory, we take on the challenge of setting up a temporary Parliament of things. We cordially invite you to take part in this journey of discovery and to think about the future of our cities and our earth from the perspective of things and non-human entities.
The Parliament of things is a conversation from the perspective of the things in which you can participate. This new form of conversation will premiere during the on-stage program of Europe by People and will be developed and implemented on the Creative Campus on the Java Eiland in Amsterdam.
