Parliament of things at Terni Festival

Today and tomorrow (17.30h) the Parliament of Things meets at the International Performing Arts Festival Terni (IT), which this year ‘Anthropocene’ has as its theme.
The Anthropocene is the ultimate consequence of industrialization and economic development. Man has a profound influence on geological, hydrological and ecological processes on earth. Environment and nature have become ‘special interests’, approached as if they compete with other specific interests, such as economic growth or employment.
Sociologist and philosopher Bruno Latour states that it is important to transcend dualism and to achieve a new connection (a new engagement) with the world around us. The Parliament of Things is inspired, among other things, by the theories of Latour.
